After a decade-long adventure in the South, attending Auburn University and afterwards moving to Atlanta, GA, Alan found his way back to Northern VA for work and in 2015, he and his wife, Carri, decided to embark on a new chapter in Charlottesville. Staying true to his roots, he brought with him a tortured love for all D.C. sports teams despite their tendency to be more often terrible than respectable.In 2021, Alan and his family joined Fairview Swim and Tennis Club, marking a long overdue return to a pool community. His daughter, Brindley (8), became a proud member of the swim team, following in her father’s aquatic footsteps. Meanwhile, his son, Hayden (5), has bravely conquered an initial fear of swimming pools and is looking forward to shedding the swim vest in 2024.

New to the pool board this year, Alan is looking forward to opportunities to contribute ideas and collaborate with others to enhance the overall pool environment for the community, and the chance to work with fellow board members to create a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone who uses the pool.
