John Mahoney

John, a native New Yorker, has lived in Charlottesville since 2018.  He and his wife, Traci, have three daughters: Nora (7), Emma (5) and Savannah (2). They have been members of Fairview since 2019, and John has been on the Board since 2021.  John’s understanding of large-scale capital improvement projects was one of the reasons he wanted to get more involved with Fairview as he learned that the Board was committing to significant capital improvement for the pool, tennis courts and club house.

While John is a huge Yankee and Giants fan, his real hobby passion is antique cars; he is an active member of many National clubs.  Additionally, John also serves on the Virginia Festival of the Wheel Advisory Board which annually raises more than $100,000 for the UVA patient care fund.  John’s pragmatic approach to improving members’ experiences at Fairview, combined with his boisterous approach to life, is a boon for the Fairview Swim and Tennis Club Board during this exciting transitional period.
