Diego Alejandro Parada brings more than three decades of experience as a competitive player, coach, tennis director, and business development professional. His diverse background spans elite junior development, collegiate athletics, professional competition, resort and country club management, and tennis program growth.
Most recently, Diego served as a Tennis Professional at Farmington Country Club in Charlottesville, Virginia (2022β2023) and Boarβs Head Sports Club (2021β2022), where he combined high-level coaching with strategic business development. His ability to blend coaching excellence with member engagement made him a valuable contributor to both organizations.
Prior to relocating to Virginia, Diego served as Director of Tennis at La Cantera Resort in San Antonio, Texas from 2006 to 2011. In this role, he directed all aspects of tennis operations, including junior development programs, adult clinics, private instruction, corporate events, and resort guest experiences. He developed training programs for players of all levels and helped competitive juniors prepare for USTA state and national competition while mentoring them in balancing academics, athletics, and personal development.
Earlier in his career, Diego was an Assistant Tennis Professional at Dominion Country Club in San Antonio, where he coached adults and juniors, organized member events, and supported a nationally recognized High-Performance Program. He traveled extensively with junior players to state and national tournaments and established a reputation for delivering exceptional instruction and player development.
Diego also served as Tennis Professional and Coach at Colon Nunez Tennis Academy in Aventura, Florida, where he trained ITF and USTA-ranked athletes using advanced match analysis and video review techniques. As Head Coach and State Team Captain for Liga Vallecaucana de Tenis in Cali, Colombia, he led junior athletes to eight national singles and doubles championships while representing the state at national competitions.
His coaching foundation was further strengthened through multiple appointments at the prestigious Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy (IMG) in Bradenton, Florida. There, he worked alongside elite junior, collegiate, ATP, and WTA players, specializing in strategy, court geometry, shot selection, anticipation, match tactics, and the development of a competitive mindset.
